moreTrees produces urban streetwear using blends of organic cotton, hemp and recycled p.e.t. (plastic soda bottles)... Everything's designed and made right here in America! Our production company hosts tree give-aways, guerilla gardening demos and videos about greening our urban environments. The clothing line features graphics of the same spirit.

:: Fabrics ::

We utilize Organic Cotton because conventional cotton is the #1 user of pesticides in the world! Conventional cotton production pollutes the water, the soil, cotton workers, and our bodies. To find out more about why cotton sucks, go to http://www.simplelife.com/organiccotton/index.html.

We also use Recycled P.E.T., an amazingly versatile, wrinkle-free fabric made from recycled plastic soda bottles.

Hemp fabrics are long-lasting, durable, breathable, and require no pesticides, and we blend it in many moreTrees garments. We promote legalizing industrial hemp farming in America, which is currently illegal due to corporate lobbying from synthetic and timber competitors back in the 1937. Hemp can provide over 25,000 products, including housing material, fuel, papers, cosmetics, and bioplastics. It used to be illegal not to grow hemp in America, because it's such an essential, easily renewable crop.

The transition toward hemp production could sever our damaging dependence on synthetic plastics, tree farming, clear-cuts, and cotton production. Utilizing hemp as an alternative resource can rescue polluted waterways, revitalize dying forests, save workers from toxic conditions, and ensure that our future biosphere will be breathable.

We don't use any rayon or tencel, because they are by-products of the tree industry. We'd rather promote alternatives to the tree industry like hemp.


Our CEO / Creative Director, Meghan Oona Clifford, completed her Bachelors at Evergreen State College in WA in ethical business and fashion design, and then obtained her Masters in Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute. She started designing over a decade ago, selling her designs on various music tours, which evolved into the widely distributed moreTrees label today. The company headquarters calls San Francisco home, with a production facility in L.A.

Our 2008 spring / summer E-COllection includes bomber jackets, mini skirts, thongs, cargo pants, hoodies, yoga pants, Ts, polo shirts, button downs, convertible sweat pants, DJ bags, and more.... Everything is a blend of organic cotton, hemp and or recycled p.e.t. (plastic soda bottles), and is Made in America!
